SMS Terms of Service

RelayHitch LLC — Last updated April 29, 2026

1. Overview

RelayHitch is a business-to-business (B2B) software platform that enables home service trade businesses ("Trade Businesses") — including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general contracting companies — to send SMS messages to their own end customers ("End Customers," typically homeowners). End Customers receive messages from individual Trade Businesses, not from RelayHitch directly. RelayHitch provides the technology infrastructure that powers these communications on behalf of its Trade Business subscribers.

2. How Consent Is Collected

End Customers opt in to receive SMS messages from a specific Trade Business through one of two paths:

Path 1: Web Form Opt-In

When booking service through a Trade Business's website, End Customers complete a service intake form that includes a consent checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default and must be explicitly checked by the End Customer before the form can be submitted. The checkbox label reads:

"I agree to receive SMS updates about my service from [Business Name], powered by RelayHitch. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on service activity (typically 2–10 messages per service appointment). Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."

Path 2: Verbal Phone Opt-In

When an End Customer calls a Trade Business, the AI phone agent may request verbal consent to send SMS updates about the service appointment. The agent confirms consent before the call concludes. Verbal consent is recorded and logged in the same manner as web form consent.

3. Message Types

End Customers who have opted in may receive the following categories of SMS messages from their Trade Business:

  • Appointment confirmations
  • Technician arrival notifications
  • Service completion notifications
  • Follow-up and review requests
  • Billing notifications
  • Service reminders

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier plan. RelayHitch does not charge End Customers for SMS messages. The rates are determined by your carrier and the specifics of your mobile plan.

5. Frequency

Message frequency varies based on service activity. Typical frequency is 2–10 messages per service appointment. End Customers can reply STOP at any time to opt out.

6. Opt-Out

To stop receiving messages from a specific Trade Business, reply STOP to any message from that business. You will receive a confirmation message and will not receive further messages from that Trade Business through that number.

Opt-out is per-business: replying STOP to messages from one Trade Business does not affect messages from other Trade Businesses on the platform that you have separately opted in to. To resubscribe to messages from a specific Trade Business, reply START to that business's number.

7. Help

Reply HELP to any message to receive assistance. For questions about RelayHitch, visit admin@relayhitch.com or call (+1) 303-350-8491.

8. Privacy

RelayHitch does not share or sell End Customer mobile phone numbers with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent is collected per-business, meaning opting in to one Trade Business does not opt you in to messages from other Trade Businesses on the platform. Consent records are retained for four (4) years per TCPA guidance. For more information about how RelayHitch handles data, see our Privacy Policy.

9. Carriers

Standard carrier disclaimers apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service is available on all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others.
